Imagine being so ignorant you'd expect government to build infrastructure for weather that occurs once every 70 years. Honk honk
Edit: if you want to make fun of something rip on the people getting CO2 poisoning sitting in their cars in a garage or running a grill/heater/generator indoors. Expecting government to solve a rare problem is something a Democrat would do.
Most building codes require structures to withstand threats that may never materialize. We have quakes in California, but will the “Big One” hit any time soon? Still makes sense not to risk widespread structure collapse when big quakes do hit.
As for the record storm, only time will tell if that’s a freak outlier or the first of more.
I am saying that the human lifespan is not even a blink of an eye compared to geological ages. One year may be an anomalous record and then in hindsight it was a precursor of a new little ice age.

History says its an outlier. Time has told. Unless you're saying this is global warming? lol

I think that was an oblique reference to the Solar Minimum that is beginning. That could lead to a lot of colder weather in the next few decades.
