Man... just completely throwing away your state because the power was off for a few days.

Texans are revealing themselves to be huge pussies lol.

Agreed. This is coming from someone who has lived in Texas for the last 21 years. I would vote for Abbott over Beto in a heartbeat. Also, this mess is part power outages and part Texans have no idea how to deal with the cold. I have some idiot neighbors who waited until AFTER the storm hit to go get supplies.

I've been home dealing with rolling blackouts. The worst part is I'm bored and my 3 dogs are hyper, bored, and annoying af. Even the wildlife is confused. The next bird my dogs catch on the back porch is on its own. I've already saved 2 today and I'm done.

I live in San Diego and many morons here can’t handle light rain. So I don’t want to be harsh on Texans, but some of the stories out of there... First there was the interview with a panicked woman who said her house was at 50 degrees. Then there are the emerging stories of people dead in cars in garages and living rooms with outdoor grills inside.

Somehow the marginalized homeless can survive much worse than 50 degrees indoors. There are whole societies that live with colder conditions who until not that long ago didn’t even have modern fuel sources. Remember the Alamo! But look to the Eskimo.

I keep an eye on the Next Door app to get neighborhood updates. Someone on there suggested moving your fire pit next to your house to keep the pipes from freezing. Thank God another poster caught this and shot it down. I love my fellow Texans, but at times it feels like we're in the movie, Idiocracy.

Also, the deaths by indoor grilling and indoor generator usage happen every time a hurricane hits. Unbelievable.
