Useta not be for regular folks like most of us. 1 person here donated $28,000, thinking it would go to the legal costs of dealing with election fraud. Not a rich person.

Another spent $25,000 buying the voter data for all of WI to be able to analyze it for fraud.

But at least since the 1960s raising campaign funds from citizens has been a big part of US elections, yes. The lawsuit known as citizens united added unlimited corporate money.

wild. i knew millionaires and billionaires donate for favors but didn't realize regulars did too.

Regular folks don't have it donate enough money to get favors. But if a lot of little people make donations, it can really help a candidate.

President Trump raised tens of millions of dollars in small donations.
