We put our son in a private school, along with 23,000 other families in our state. It cost and arm and leg and we had to put him back in fifth grade instead of sixth even though he is a straight-A student, because there were no openings for sixth grade. Literally no regrets, best decision we ever made.
Yeah, we have teens and the only private school in the area is full and an hour away or that would have been my first option. Just two more years and the youngest is out, oldest next spring - then off to liberal college for more indoctrinated lol.
