Sure, "spez" is a reference to our days back on reddit, when the CEO Steve Huffman, whose username is u/spez, admitted to editing some user comments that pissed him off especially.

In response, for years, the "edit" button on posts & comments was actually labelled "spez" by the mods, and whenever people would edit their posts, instead of writing "edit: blah blah" they would write "spez:".

Old habits die hard, I still write spez because it was a big thing for such a long time.
