I heard about the news earlier today, of course, like so many of us. I've been so busy at work that l, lately, that I haven't had the time to truly process how much of a loss Rush is to America. To me.

The tear has finally fallen for my radio mentor. The man I made the effort to rush to turn on at 12pm after every major news event at the very least, to hear his opening monologue. No matter what job I had, no matter what I was in the middle of. I snuck away to listen to those 20 mins as often as I could.

My Father, who passed in 2013, started listening to Rush in 1990, or so, when he was on WRKO in Boston. I was 12 and wasn't into it until my Father sternly advised me to just.. listen. It was then that I put together that I wasn't a Republican, but I identified as a Conservative first, Republican second. At 12 years old this man made sense to me. His ideals and thoughts aligned with how I thought, I just didn't recognize it at 12/13 years old.

Rest Peacefully Mr. Limbaugh. You will forever be missed.

There will never ever ever ever be anyone like Rush in my life. It's impossible.
