Foreign visa students never seem to work at Starbucks. They get the best jobs.

To be fair, it’s because they actually try to invest themselves in school, whereas most American millennials spend most of college watching Netflix and doing drugs.

This is true sometimes. But the reality is that even American students who do work hard have difficulty finding jobs post graduation now. Half or more of all classes in key majors are filled by J1 visas. Companies hire them after because they are 1. Cheaper and 2. The hiring managers are foreign.

Sure some students party, but I’ve found the vast majority grow out of it as employment approaches. Either way, The entire incentive structure of college is skewed toward visa students.

That’s before talking about economic recessions making jobs scarce and graduate programs where it’s far worse.
