It’s like restaurants wanting people to wear a mask to their table. It’s stupid. And even if masks worked, a restaurant is not a place you should be if you are paranoid about respiratory viruses.
Went to lunch a few weeks ago. You have to wear a mask to your table. Then it get's even better. You need to keep it on until your drinks arrive, then you may remove it. I asked the server why? They had no legitimate answer.
I don't get the thinking at this point. I'm going to a very public place, to have a meal, prepared by people with questionable hygiene skills, served by people that are handling both money and the credit machine, while others walk by my table crop-dusting me. How is keeping a mask on until my drink arrives "saving" me from covid?
If I was that afraid, I sure as fuck wouldn't be going for a meal at germ central station.
