I don't actually completely agree with this, for one thing passports should be cheaper and plenty of people don't have photo diver licences in the UK. Of course voters absolutely should have to provide ID of some form, but perhaps it could be more flexible or cheaper?
Also it's tackling the fairly small issue of fraud at polling station when in reality postal vote fraud is 100 times worse as proved by certain recent events..
