In my opinion, I think the failures wind turbines experience in those countries in the winter are covered up. I bet that whenever windmills are frozen in Sweden, they just switch over to Hydro power. And whenever it’s frozen in Canada, they just switch over to natural gas. It’s quite easy for them because both countries have such small populations.

Yes, and wind turbines only provide energy to 5% of Canada’s population. A lot less people use it in Canada than in Texas.

Thank you for the link explaining that Texas is without power because Federal Govt regulates pollution emissions and Texas could not produce more power to compensate for the increased draw without permission. Which would probably take half or forever.

So the state is chicken shit to save people because they might have to pay a littering fine.....BULLSHIT

Texas elected officials chose to let their citizens suffer and die.....the fact that they did nothing about this speaks volumes....They would rather die the speak up....Enjoy it then

You can't run an industrial society off of windmills. The idea is flat out ludicrous. And guess what, you can't produce windmills without having an industrial society. It is realizations like this that make me hate HATE the green idiots.

You can't run an industrial society off of windmills

Why does it work for Canada then?

Because the windmills don't really generate much power here.
Like maybe 2%
Hydroelectric Dams, Fossil Fuels and Nuclear do the majority.
In fact, Quebec produces so much electricity from 7 dams and
1 remaining reactor that it supplies the US Eastern Seaboard
power grid down to Florida. When an ice storm hit Quebec in
the 90s and broke towers for high tension power lines, there
were blackouts down as far as Manhattan until USA could
ramp-up production in New England states. .

Typical American can't look out side there boarders Canada dose not live off windmills ,yes we have them . We get our hydo from nuckular power

God, people are misinformed. Canada and Sweden depend on GAS to keep itself warm ... GAS is a very efficient way of heating a home. In Texas, people are using electric fancy aircons to keep themselves hot ... and this is the reason they need SO MUCH ENERGY.

Anyways, it's so silly ... they only need a little bit of energy to get things running but due to the tyranical power of the ECOCOMMUNISTS in federal government Texas will have to endure a few more days of cold.

Same thing in U.S. States like MN and IA have winterized windmills that can run up to 20 below. But in cold temps their is usually less wind anyways, so for states like TX they don't bother

They didn't think it was needed because TX doesn't usually have winters like this. Also, they're cheapskates.

I don’t know what you mean by every few years, but the last time they had a winter like this was 11 year ago.

Part of the weather that moved through was an ice storm, it moved in w/the snow storm.
