Greetings, pedes! Not really a 'post' person usually. Tend to stick to lurking. But this happened today, and I want to point this out to people. I work on a farm in Arkansas. Sitting in a restaurant after working chickens all day. Three police officers come in, all wearing masks. For the most part, polite group. Being a small town, for the most part, we have all had words to some extent at one time or another, and I dont recall these guys ever being any sort of mean or anything. I decide I wanted to ask them some questions. I approach their table, and the three officers turned to greet me. This is as close to ver batum as I can manage. Officer 1is a middle aged dude, 2 is a young one, 3 old. 3 did not talk, and will be excluded. Me: Good evening officers. I was wondering if I could sit with you and ask you gentlemen some questions. O1: I dont have any problem with it.

O2: Me, either. Let me move my stuff.

Me: Awesome. So, there are 2 items that have been on my mind. The first is I want to talk about masks, and mandates.

  • O1 and O2 laugh -

O1: We wont have anything to do with that. Thats all Department of Health.

Me: That decide if an establishment has been found to be breaking mask mandates?

O1: Yes.

Me: Ok, and when they have decided to shut down an establishment, what would happen if they reopened, against the rules of the Department of health? I imagine you would get a call, correct?

  • Long awkward pause as it sinks in -

O2: What is your goal here?

Me: Just to understand the views of our local police officers.

Me: Let me shift gears real quick. Have you gentlemen heard of HR 127?

O1: No, what's that?

Me: Basically the next attempt at a gun grab.

I think at this point he lost patience with me, because the conversation became much more uncomfortable at that point

Me: Its actually a lot of rules as well as a registration, and regulatory hoops to jump through, as well as a fine disguised as insurance. I wont bore you, but I highly reccomend looking it up.

O2 brings out a pen and paper and writes it down

O1: Any more questions?

Me: Just one additional. If an order came down for you to seize guns from an american citizen, would you do it?

O1: They sign my check.

Me: Thank you for the conversation, gentlemen. Enjoy your meal.

I know it's a pain to read through, but I wanted to let you guys know.... the police, even down to the red sleepy little towns in the bible belt, they are all down to take your rights away. Maybe not all of them, sure, granted. But enough of them will just shrug and say "yes, sir" when told to infringe on your rights. I know I am not high energy, and I apologize for this. Im just a concerned pede, and I am horrified that it has gotten this far. What the hell do we do? When the creepers come knocking on our door in minecraft, looking to take our swords and bows, is that the time?

Yes so, former police officer here and this is accurate. When I first joined it was good and while there was always politics in the department, there were still good supervisors to shield the rank and file from the crap. Eventually though, it turned into a toxic environment where very few of them could be trusted. A lot of seasoned officers left because they saw the writing on the wall. Now this particular department (most are the same) is full of young pups that will do absolutely whatever the pencil necks tell them. Most good officers that would normally refuse to violate people's rights no matter what have moved on. Not all but it won't matter. Lose your firearms in boating accidents and find a good place to hide your uh...valuables. I believe we are only seeing the beginning and a version of the movie Red Dawn is playing out but the tactics and speed are different. The same will be true with the military as they will be used more and more in the interest of fighting "domestic terrorism".

The police are only human and most of them will do what they are told. Some of them will kick your door in and shoot your dog with sadistic glee, others will at least be respectful while trampling your rights, “just doing my job Sir”.

I have my doors armored more to keep police out than burlgars. The average door in this country is flying in with one swift kick, let alone a battering ram. Secure your homes guys, at least you can wake up and be lucid as the state is breaking into your home.

Exactly, it’s not even just about enforcing unconstitutional laws. Last year in cities like Portland and Seattle the police were ordered by the mayors to essentially retreat and do nothing when mobs swarmed precincts and federal courthouses and rioted and looted. They completely abandoned the people in those neighborhoods because the corrupt politicians told them to.

I’m a cop in a small red town. I would refuse to do anything that violates people’s constitutional rights. I have/will never told someone to wear a mask, I have/will never told a business to close, I have/will never enforce any gun grab. The city can fire me if it ever comes to that, I’m not doing it. I have watched videos of cops shutting down church services and it makes me sick. I would rather fucking die than do that.

I’ve had this conversation with quite a few other cops in my area. Every one has told me no fucking way would they go along with any of it. I believe them. They all seemed convinced a total gun grab (as in guns are completely illegal, mandatory buy back) would cause an immediate civil war and the collapse of America. I’m not convinced of that.

I do believe about half the cops in the country would enforce a gun grab. The other half would refuse.

I salute you, as what you do NOW takes more courage than being a soldier, imo. And im not trying to be a downer or anything. but straight up, this encounter has probably done more than most of the other news I have seen. NOW I KNOW that the next encounter with a police officer will likely end with both of us walking away, or neither of us walking away. I am scared because this is now 1984. There are thought police. its not to the point of "thought-crimes" yet, but brother..... its coming down the pipeline somewhere. I feel for you, because I know that you are out there, pede, and that YOU wouldnt do it. But its not you that I am going to meet. Its THIS asshole officer that WILL do it. These are my local officers. This is my local department. These are my neighbors. And they just made it clear as day that they WILL do it.... They just waiting for the order, at this point.

Before the actual grab the police will likely go through a purge similar to the guards at DC

Any that are loyal to the constitution will be shit canned. Liberal scabs will be fast tracked to fill their ranks

Then they will come

Boating accidents will get you sent to the gulags

You think COURTS can save you when they wouldn't even side with the constitution and duly elected president?

You can't be this naive

I have no part of me that has any sort of faith in the system. I know they F up everything they put their greedy fingers on. And I have no misconception of the COURTS being on ANY mans side, let alone a patriot. If you have any thought that courts are on the side of justice, you havnt seen a man divorce-raped. Appriciate the comment though. I agree on the part of the screening the police before the real gun grab. But at that point its not even a question. Uniformed Creepers on my doorstep get the TNT tripwire in minecraft.

Cops will do what they are told because they are not going to risk losing their pension.

Cops will do what they are told because they are not going to risk losing their pension

Then they are stupid as they are mindless when their city's/state's bonds turn to garbage and they get pennies on the dollar.

Detroit's bankruptcy that fucked all their employees in 2013/2014 - https://www.freep.com/story/money/personal-finance/susan-tompor/2018/07/18/detroit-bankruptcy-retirees-pension/759446002/ - will guarantee no cop will get anything closer to their golden ticket of 5 digit pensions each year.

They are basically going for a buy now, pay later with their blood (and their families) if they enforce any illegal action by their bosses.

Neo you've already made your choice, you here to understand why you made it....

That gun is the only thing protecting you from anyone looking to do you harm....

otistoole 5 points ago +6 / -1

You shoot or give up your guns. Thats what you do. Some of us have everything to lose. Some of us, nothing

My mind was solidified on this choice earlier. Glad you said it lol
