i should have put 'emergency services'...not police. good catch there. EMS and fire/rescue are no longer responding. their main priorities are carbon monoxide poisoning and house fires caused by fireplaces.

like i said, 'third world shithole venezuela-style' crap is happening in TX. the smaller towns and cities are hit hard too, btw. this is not only a big blue city problem, LMAO. the preppers out in the boondocks are okay, but not most people in even small dinky TX towns.

Fire also shouldn’t respond to burst pipes. There is nothing they can do but come shut your water main off, which if you are worried about burst pipes you should be doing yourself before it is freezing in your house. Pipes won’t burst if there is no water in them. Texas officials should have been spreading that information, would have saved a lot of burst pipes.
