I get the outrage over banning and censoring news, but NO ONE should be against end to end encryption. This whole "BuT pEdOs!" Argument is just way for government to morals bash you into letting them violate your privacy. Its the same argument they use for gun control- Think of the children! If cops wanna catch bad guys, maybe they should do police work and stay the FUCK out of my private messages.
And just like gun control, as a law-abiding citizen it really just fucks my self defense.
Unless the authorities decide to start actually policing identity theft, I'll continue to use end-to-end encryption regardless of anyone else's opinions. And I'll laugh when their identities are stolen. (My favorite was the big fed breach a few years back. Oh tell me again, benevolent overlords, how well you'll protect my data when you can't even protect your own.)
That was fucked up. At that point in time I had been out of the service for quite a few years...and I get a letter in the mail saying my information that they held had been compromised by that hack...and then they offered ONE YEAR of "identity theft protection"! Fucking assholes.

I would point out: facebook and whatsapp cucked to big daddy government over the Jan 6 incident. In other words, they dont give af about privacy when its a Left Wing concern. If they insist on stuff like this, then they need to apply it in every moral panic or societal concern.
