Vermont, politically speaking, is a very strange place. They do have a R governor but their senators are both very liberal and the state as a whole contains a lot of hippie types. I don't think President Trump won Vermont but next door in New Hampshire republicans flipped the state houses so I think its strange Trump supposedly lost.
