Alinsky and the democrats in their hate for us figured that out too. In order for a few to gain power, they ALL were taught hate us and sneer at our ideals, they were taught make them live up to their "ideals".
And now, because we are human and honest we admit we do not always live up to our ideals - so out of fear of judgement we capitulate.
They do not care a whit that they can't live up to their own, if they have any.

Does that mean we must give up our high ideals of Justice and Liberty for all, along with individual self determination? NO we must re-establish them where they have been eclipsed, and teach renewed dedication to them where they still light the way - however dimly.
