The Doxycycline, which is an antibiotic, is actually not used to treat a secondary infection. While doxycycline does have antimicrobial properties, it is also a powerful anti-inflammatory, especially at lower doses (50 mg). The inflammatory response is supposedly what "kills" people with the wuflu. It also, like HCQ, is used worldwide as prophylaxis for malaria. Just wanted to clarify.
