A lot of rules changed in the Military over the past decades. Used to be the Military couldn't be sued for 'Medical Malpractice'. The VAST majority of the American public have no idea of the number of Military exposed to or forced to take experimental drugs in the past...and most of the laws that changed all that were quietly passed 'under the RADAR'...
They're still paying the survivors and families for Nuclear and Biological experiments from the 50's and 60's...
