Not too unpopular, I don't think. Of all the great things Trump did, he really, REALLY fucked up on COVID. I'm not sure anymore whether he was playing it coy for re-election, or what. But he should have squashed it from the start.

Hindsight.

I know. Never can understand it, and when he sent the hospital ships that got unused, the govs packing people in nursing homes ect, he never called out any of it.

Why?

He pushed the shit out of vaccines, and praised Bill fucking Gates.

Didn't he try to squash it with his advocacy for HCQ?

He did, and they invoked the full weight of the deep state on him to try and make him look like a fool and it worked for the most part, as people were terrified of this virus.

He could not stop the full media fear mongering onslaught that ensured.

He had become shrewd enough to know, that at this point in his term with election season coming up, that if didn't go along with it as best he could, then you have have had the full force of RINO's going against him too, along with the media and Democrats, he would have been steamrolled anyway, and he did it to keep his head above water going into the election.

And it worked, as he won a landslide election that was only stolen by force.

He played the game better than they did, he took their weapon away from them, but they just used their weapon of last resort, a rigged and blatantly stolen election.

Maybe. Clearly it wasn't enough. He must have known more than we did about its origin and its severity. Yet he still allowed it to get where we are today. You could argue state's right all you want but even I, who is a strong advocate for it, wishes he would have taken a much more authoritative stance on ending the madness.

And what of Fauci? Why was he kept around?
