Had a conversation with a racist who believed im racist. It was a very civil conversation. They didn't appreciate when I brought up the fact the shade of skin is determined my the melanin in your DNA and I was argued with back that they own their own business. What I got out of it was the logic of what racism really is, from what I gathered from the conversation, if you are ignoring the fact there is racism and you don't notice the color of someones skin that makes you racist. I found words to describe the logic but now how do we understand the logic to turn it around?

I also noticed it seemed to throw the person off that I wasn't arguing but only asking questions to better understand.
