I think this needs a more nuanced take. I dont care about your religion very much, as long as you dont force it on me. You don't have to be an islamophobe to be concerned about the influx of muslims who refuse to follow local laws. I mean, I know many Hindus and while I disagree with their pagan beliefs, I dont see them forcing others to follow it or not follow local laws. I suspect thats the same with some good law abiding muslims, but if you come here as an illegal immigrant and then not follow the local laws of the country, then thats bad in my book, no matter your religion.
Islam is not just a religion. It’s a political system masquerading as a religion.
History shows that once you get above a certain percentage of a Muslim population in a given country, they start warping that cou try’s politics and social norms to meet their own.
The tricky part is whether or not a 'muslim' who doesn't follow islam is really a 'muslim'. There are westernized 'muslims' who aren't really practicing islam, yet referring to themselves as muslims. Or they claim to be progressive/modern muslims publicly while their private values and activities are genuinely islamic behind the scenes.
I agree, and I dont have a good answer. All I can say is that if someone assimilates properly and follows our values and laws, then I dont have a problem. The moment you start talking about Hijabs and so on is when I draw the line.

I will not get into the semantics of this, but I get what you mean when you say Islam is a political system.

Westernized muslims watch radical muslims throw gays off the roof.
