My job is pretty recession proof. I'd be pretty screwed if it wasn't. I was in IT for 10 years and got out just in time. Couldn't imagine if I got laid off during the plandemic and then had to find a new job.

What job? I was in IT too and moved to Finance after IT jobs got offshored and then later H-1B’d.
