Another important point would be that the majority of white people in this country can trace their ancestry as arriving here AFTER the civil war. The majority of people have no ties to it and it is blatantly racist to suggest that we do.

Then why in the fuck would they agree to give money to the 100% of black people who have never even met anyone who ever met a former slave?

I think we have to define who is agreeing to give whose money to whom. Many people would probably mindlessly agree to pay reparations, however if they were told they would be charged a 5% income tax in perpetuity I believe you might get very different answers.

Oregon is voting on a reparations bill to give every black resident (okay who is black, and does this mean ADOS doesn't matter? ) a really high figure , if I recall correctly it's 80k a year for LIFE. Its really hard to imagine how they would pay for it or control its growth.
