Why have nationalists failed to significantly influence culture since the 60s?
Nationalists have been culturally stagnant for far too long and have allowed blue haired stalin-worshipping freaks to infest our entertainment industry for decades.
The question of why we've neglected to create artistic and cultural works to promote our worldview in recent history is very important. I don't have a complete answer. I do know that conservatives in the past produced culture that promoted their worldview. Look at all the beautiful cathedrals built, classical paintings glorifying God, honest farming life, the beauty of nature, etc. Roman and Greek statues depicting raw masculine power ("toxic masculinity" nowadays) and martial glory.
Why did right leaning people seemingly stop influencing and producing culture from the 60s onward? We all know there was a cultural revolution where marxist scum started infiltrating everything, especially academia and entertainment. Once they got control of the hiring positions they stopped hiring people who weren't also marxists (Robert Conquest’s Second Law of Politics). Many talented artists with right wing leanings have been denied entry to schools or companies because they weren't "woke" enough. Artists and culture creators are now hired based on marxist ideological conformity rather than merit. That's also why the quality of culture and art has deteriorated. All the people hired to make it are filling a political quota; the entire industry is diversity hires and those of the highest merit (who may not be leftists) are excluded. They will even ruin entire franchises like Star Wars just to inject left wing poison into culture; cultural subversion is seemingly a higher priority than profit.
There are probably other, deeper reasons. The kind of filth that left wing art promotes - specifically hedonism, nihilism and degeneracy - are unfortunately vulnerable points for a civilization which is at a very high stage of achievement and success. They were injecting the poison at a strategically appropriate point in the history of Western Civilization. The idea that you should reject tradition and hard work and just "do whatever feels good" is especially tempting when you're basking in the comfort of your own wealth and success.
Why does it matter?
Breitbart was right: politics is downstream from culture. If we want to win - which our very survival depends on - we need to win hearts and minds to our side, and culture is the main way to do that. Politics is just a by-product of the prevailing attitudes and mindset formed by culture; supply rises to meet demand politically speaking. Culture creates the demand.
If you believe voting is useless and all elections will be rigged from now on and perhaps have been for a while (I can't blame you), then you must logically admit that culture is even more important now to bring the maximum numbers to our side for the possibility of violent conflict. It's not just about winning voters. That being said I hope violent conflict never happens. Winning enough hearts and minds to our side via culture beforehand may be an effective way to prevent violent conflict from ever beginning; if the left wing establishment calculates that it's too outnumbered to win it may not even attempt violence.
How do we fix the problem? How do we turn the tides and start winning the culture war?
The first and most obvious answer is to create nationalist culture. There are lots of talented artists, poets, authors, sculptors, painters, game developers, musicians and so on within our movement. We need to hone our skills, give each other constructive feedback and inspire each other to keep making things that are popular with the masses and convey our values and worldview in a way that is attractive, aesthetically pleasing and not preachy.
At some point we'll also need funding. Time is money and to create a significant cultural work of any kind it will require enough time that it becomes impractical to keep a dayjob while working on it, if you expect to finish it without taking years and years. Funding should be given skeptically and with careful analysis of exactly what the artist or other culture maker is using the money for; there will be grift attempts and they need to be dealt with. But once it's clear that a certain person is highly talented and the book or album or game they're working on is going to be high quality and effective at spreading nationalism then supporting them financially should be seen as a political (or metapolitical) duty. Our enemy has billions of dollars to subvert culture, we need to counter balance that.
We'll also need operational security. Many culture creators may need to remain anonymous and publish their works under a pen name to avoid a media harassment campaign, left wing terrorism directed at their home or even heavy handed state persecution for committing "thought crimes".
We'll need a distribution network too. Mainstream platforms probably won't host our shows or movies, publish our books or allow us to upload our games. We will need to adopt a "nomadic" mindset of publishing on all platforms at all times and constantly switching to evade bans. This is also where the pen names may come in useful. Switching identities may allow you to publish your next work on a mainstream platform even if your previous identity was banned. Milk the platform for all its worth, enjoy all the sales and downloads you get while it lasts, fully expecting that a ban is on the way. When it arrives some "damage" has already been done, especially in the case of physical copies being sent out to people (those can't be banned or removed after the fact). Upload to the next platform and keep going.
In addition to gaming the mainstream platforms for distribution we should also be building our own distribution networks. Thankfully this is well underway with patriots.win, Gab, Bitchute and other sites but we need to keep growing. A non-marxist alternative to Netflix and Steam would be of extreme strategic value.
There are some disruptive and guerilla distribution methods that are worth using to spread culture. Poster campaigns and flyers cannot be banned by big tech. Artists like Sabo already place their satire and parody works directly in public. These kinds of stunts can bait enemy-controlled MSM into covering your work (unwittingly boosting your distribution) because the MSM companies rely on outrage and clickbait to keep their NPC audiences addicted and to keep making ad revenue. This perverse incentive can be weaponized against them (the "It's Okay To Be White" poster campaign has proven that this can be done repeatedly). If you want to mass distribute a larger file like a game or a movie, buying lots of cheap USBs and leaving them around a city to be discovered by curious members of the public also works well. There are all kinds of creative and devious guerilla distribution methods.
