The best way to think of this term “whiteness” is as a synonym for “reactionary”. I’ve been to CCP China and they weren’t using terms like “racist” because that’s not going to work there. Instead they use the term “reactionary” to denounce people. That scares people because they’ve seen people sent off to reeducation camps for that.

The way these words are used is psychological warfare. First, pick a word that represents something most people don’t want to be like “racist” and this accusation frightens them. At first this refers only to an actual philosophy of racial supremacy, later to racial prejudice in general. But Then, keep “semantic widening” the word until it refers to ANY opposition to Marxist philosophy like Critical Race Theory, or to any wrongthink.

But the word “racist” isn’t working too well against minorities (especially since the marxists start spreading the idea that only white people can be racist) so the authoritarians have to come up with something else to psychologically attack ethnic minority people with. So they start using “whiteness” as a psychological attack on minorities who reject the Marxism-derived social ideology. Andy Ngo gets attacked this way too.

In Islamic countries the word “kafir” (infidel) or “murtad” (apostate) is used as a psychological attack like this, and people are scared of that. So you can tell this sort of psychological warfare tactic has been around a long time.

Anyway, I think the main thing is to know it’s psychological warfare. It’s not about logic, it’s about emotional manipulation to force people to comply with ideology.
