Sad, really. They're dumb not because they were born dumb. Just simply that they were raised dumb. I'll be honest. Some of the IiberaI friends I have who are politically and logically dumb do some things better than I do. There's smatnezz there..... It's just buried under bigly lengths of conditioning.
Seriously. There is nothing worse than a socialist who is good at capitalism but thinks they will keep their stuff in the blue steal because unlike everyone else, "I earned it."
Mostly just mistakes between "communist" and "fascist," which, to be fair, are both socialist, collectivist, authoritarian ideologies responsible for millions of deaths. They're 2 sides of the same coin, and are more similar than different. Meanwhile, American conservatism isn't even part of the same currency.
The reason people here push back against HURR LEFTISTS ARE THE REAL NAZI trope bullshit is that conservatism has failed (miserably) and some of us recognize that before we can return to liberal values and individualism, a strong, organized, collective response is utterly necessary. That response is NOT libertarianism (sorry to all the drooling lolbertarians). Perhaps furthermore spare everyone further analysis from the Political Theories That Have To Correspond To Geometric Shapes Or We'll Cry school of thought.
This has literally already happened, multiple times, in history, but since most people simply cannot process that the fairytale foundation myth version of the 20th century they were fed as children is not accurate, they choke and gurgle on the apparent oxymoron of the left insisting that fascism was THE WORST THING, while also appearing to pursue policies that seem equally bad as you were told THE WORST THING ever was.
The left must be THE WORST THING too, right?
What you were told about this worst this was deliberately wrong. The oxymoron is self-contradicting (and self-resolving) once you realize the truth, that for all the errors and missteps, fascism was a natural reaction to Marxism. It was an organized society's immune response to communist insurgency. It answered the immediate problem in both Italy and Germany, though ultimately failing in both for reasons obviously beyond the scope of a single post (but in large part due to your grandparents' tax money being funneled regardless of citizen interests or intent into materially subsidizing the survival of the American Communists' favorite model government, the Soviet Union) but it certainly worked in Spain (and went alright, in a sense, in Finland)
Your life is already governed with a hundred times more legislation, and you are taxed 3-4x more already than proto-socialists of the early 20th ever imagined. Now they want your soul, but so many people here are still wrapped inexorably and inescapably in the semantic fight that leaves you spinning in circles, unable to respond in anything resembling an effective manner.
Orwell wrote in 1944 that the definition of the word fascism had been lost.
Except for the relatively small number of Fascist sympathizers, almost any English person would accept ‘bully’ as a synonym for ‘Fascist’. That is about as near to a definition as this much-abused word has come.
But Fascism is also a political and economic system. Why, then, cannot we have a clear and generally accepted definition of it? Alas! we shall not get one — not yet, anyway. To say why would take too long, but basically it is because it is impossible to define Fascism satisfactorily without making admissions which neither the Fascists themselves, nor the Conservatives, nor Socialists of any colour, are willing to make. All one can do for the moment is to use the word with a certain amount of circumspection and not, as is usually done, degrade it to the level of a swearword.
We all are tired of it. That's not the worst part. The worst part... is if you look at how fascists ran their economics. This isn't mysterious or controversial. They wrote about it.
BTW - Fascists are the ones who take guns away from citizens.
I Don't like you so you're a fascist.
So tired of the left using words without knowing what their fucking actual definition is.
I understand the whole newspeak thing going on, but I swear, a lot of it isn't even that malicious, it's just fucking idiots ignorantly using words.

It's not just the left, it's all over here too.

Words don't mean shit anymore... especially on the internet.

The funny thing about that is the quote is apocryphal.
