It's true that most can't, which is why homeschool is probably a better option for most. It's a financial sacrifice for sure, but who can afford a brainwashed child? That's often the alternative.

We can't afford homeschooling either. Our mortgage is far below average rent, but both of us need to work. I have no idea how people can afford homeschooling in the 2020s.

Everyone else that said they've done it, didn't do it when most of the economy is shut down and with fuel prices about to skyrocket.

I don’t mean to be hypercritical but if you’re sober and work in I.T I don’t know how you can’t afford to homeschool or private school your kids.

If it's a big enough priority, you can afford it. We are on one income and renting a small apartment so that we can do it. It is possible, but it's not easy and will require sacrifices, but it's worth it in the long run.
