Texas has seen no help from fema or red cross. Not one fucking ounce of help. We are Freezing, We have No Water, No Power, No Internet. Grocery Stores are empty, cant find anything.

Now This Story Comes Out On Our Local Fake News.... https://abc13.com/weather/fema-sending-60-generators-to-texas-amid-power-outages-/10349070/... But if you read story it seems like they are more worried about vaccine spots. This is now going on 5 days and they are talking of sending food and water and supplies and Generators... Wtf where the hell has all this shit been... Still Have Not Seen Anything.

You realize most people who are in real trouble because of this are single moms who live in cities, many of them in apartment buildings. Where the fuck are they going to keep a generator?

Quit being a fucking retard.

If you're a single mom your poor decision chain started long ago.

So just let them and their kids freeze to death? If they cry and ask for help that means everyone in Texas is crying and asking for help?

The fucking Texas hating shills have shown their true colors on this.

Has anyone (bums don't count) even "frozen to death"? It's not all that cold and all the non-traffic deaths I'm seeing are just basic idiocy and misadventure involving using heat sources that generate CO indoors with inadequate ventilation.

Haven't heard of anyone freezing to death, wouldn't doubt they might find a few before it's over. I wouldn't say "It's not all that cold", it was -6 here the other morning and the temp hasn't risen above 25 all week. We just don't have the winter gear or build homes for those prolonged low temps, so that's the real source of the problem.

Most newer homes rely on electricity for heat, same as apartments, which has been part of the problem too. I'm lucky, my older home, like pretty much all of them in this neighborhood, use gas space heaters and gas stoves, so it's been an inconvenience more than anything for us being without electricity.

Another problem is that without electricity, stores can't open so getting food, gas or anything you need has been difficult. We have a good foot of solid ice and snow on the roads, so it ain't easy getting around, most people don't have snow tires or chains.

You are pathetic if you think people cant survive in this weather. A good portion of the country PLAYS OUTSIDE in colder temps than this.

It is YOUR responsibility to take care of yourself. If you cant survive a couple dayanof cold, your genes domt need to continue.

This storm has highlighted just how pathetically weak technology has made people. Im thoroughly embarrassed to be associated with Texans right now...

Helping women and children is simple, basic human kindness. It's the essence of being a man. If you think there is something wrong with doing that, you need some real soul searching.

Hijacking this just to say, be mad at single moms, but I know of several old people who died in a rural town in a red af state during a blizzard in a similar situation several years ago. But they're old, so fuck them right?

Aren't most of those liberals?

I have no idea, probably, so we should just let them freeze to death?

Tell me where some single mom who lives in an apartment is going to keep a generator, then tell me what that has to do with welfare, then I'll answer your question.

In a closet

Taking care of single mother city-people living in apartments is pretty much the entire essence of welfare.
