I used A Beka extensively in grade and high school and don't recommend. The math curriculum is weak and the science books are written by young earth creationists. Their math books seriously don't teach set theory because it's an afront to God because apparently it's postmodern or something. My computer science degree disagrees but ok... Their ancient history gets a little iffy as well because the earth is only 6000 years old to them.
Most of the other stuff is average quality even if overly religious. Either way I'd recommend getting material that prioritizes education over hard-line religious dogma.

I understand why everyone is cheering for this, but I think there is a bigger picture being missed here: children need a social life outside of their homes to become well-rounded, healthy adults. They need to be subjected to all sorts of social dynamics, experience a full range of emotions, and take a sample from a wide range of social experiences in order to prepare for adult life. You don't want to raise a child who will break under the lightest pressure because they haven't needed to face the reality of society during their whole upbringing, complete with teasing, bullying, and feelings hurt. Public school is cancer to the mind, but does one thing outstandingly: it prepares you for reality, as opposed to snowflake safe-space culture that prepares you to feel offended and hurt by everything you haven't been exposed to during your formative years. Do strive to better education at every level, but I would be wary of celebrating globalists sabotaging the social fitness and future of our children.
Public school IS what's sabotaging the social fitness and future of our children. Dumping your kids into a zoo with hundreds of other kids, 90% with dogshit parents that use the internet as a babysitter. It's not like it was in the 90s either, you don't learn to stand up to people and defend yourself, at first you learn to run to the teachers and report them because you get suspended purely for being in a fight, but that just makes you more of a target so what you really learn is to conform. Do whatever retarded shit you think will make everyone like you. The peer group is the strongest influence on a kids development, so it's a constant uphill battle for 12 years to keep your kid from becoming a degenerate.
Homeschool doesn't mean the kid stays inside everyday and studies alone. Make friends with other conservative parents, raising their kids like yours. Move to the same neighborhood, make a village essentially.

Private schools should better serve that purpose, but not everybody can afford them, and it is in everyone's interest to ensure that other people's kids don't grow into degenerate adults either. As someone who made all of those mistakes early on (and will never finish paying for some of them), I beg you to make it a priority for your children's sake. Sell the house in the city. Move to a more rural and family-oriented area. Take a pay cut if you have to. Buy a cheaper car. Plant a garden. Homeschool your kids. Eat healthy food at home. Take care to spend excess money on important memories. Spend time with the kids individually, finding commonalities and teaching them at every turn. Help the kids foster friendships with children whose families employ a similar mindset. You do the same when choosing the people you surround yourself with. Limit or forgo social media and television. Learn new skills and share those skills you have. Be generous in kindness and grace. Work towards self sufficiency in all forms. Strive for a debt-free life.
