I think that introducing bills they know won’t pass is good. Democrats do it all the time to keep each other in line and then bring up who voted against it. It shifts the window. Doesn’t mean you should not primary them but it’s effective. For example “Republican senator x voted against Save the Seals Bill” without mentioning that the bill contained mandatory abortions and taxpayer funded child size condoms or something
Not inly that but you can actually flip dems to vote for things. Not the hardcore ones like schumer but if you introduce a bill thats widely popular and this democrat is in a district starting to lean red and/or they get a ton of calls from constituents they may vote for it if it makes sense. Otherwise they are outed as not as moderate as they campaigned and then a repub wins next time sans dominion
