It's not the "party" that's fucked per se it's the lousy figureheads within it.

People need to realize that for a parade you need not only the person being honored you also need the people to stand on the sidewalk and cheer. Far too many Republicans in the establishment think that there is some ready-made group of people standing on the sidewalk waiting to cheer for them. That's not how it works though on our side it has to be real.
