Texas has had several storms like this in the last 100 years lol. I'd settle for operating temperatures between -30' to 130'

That should be standard - and I'm sure the material properties support it. But add in freezing rain and it weighs down and eventually breaks the lines.

I am actually a proponent of burying the 50K Volt lines, but there are a lot of engineering challenges with cooling, repair, etc. and political challenges about property rights and eminent domain.
