Wife is a teacher, and the truth is, a huge portion (majority in some areas) just want their babysitters back. We are also parents in our district, with friends and neighbors here. We discuss the curriculum, including LGBTQIA+ education from K+, BLM agenda, and revised math; none of them care. They want some peace and quiet for a few hours, which they can't get now with their kids home, primarily due to their shitty parenting. We love having our kids home.
And yeah, the teachers are mainly to blame. The older conservative minority know this is long term bad news, but the Millenials want to get paid to stay home, claiming Danger for The Children! The Admin wants to do whatever the Dems tell them, because every admin is there merely as a stepping stone to politics.
I love having my kids home but I think you misconstruded "people want their normal lives back." As they should.
How do you know the majority just want babysitters while they sit at home? Thats a broad brush. Im sure people want their kids in school so they can go to work too.
Sounds like you're biasly looking at public demand for your wife to go back the job shes paid to do through a bitter linse.
Must be nice having that indefinite tax money while others struggle.
We talk to people, alot, have a healthy relationship with lots of parents. I wouldn't say a Majority in our district, maybe 25-35%.
Thanks. Yeah we struggled for years too, starting at $18k out of college, but after years of planning and work are in a decent place, and likely will be able to eventually retire. After years of stashing income, instead of having newer cars, clothes, eating out. We just went on our first real vacation last year, in our 40's.
You make your choices, and pay for it, one way or another
I believe you and im not saying yall dont deserve it. I understand the hustle.
Im sorry, im in frigid Texas so im a bit grouchy. On top of Biden, Covid, unions, and generally all instutions.
I know not all teachers are bad.
I just know teachers in my homestate of Louisana, and theyre a bunch of entitled, 3 mask wearing, covid enthusist snobs.
( In Texas, they're just normal people lol.)
If everyone demanded to go back to work, we wouldnt be in this mess. Not just the teachers. Everyone.
Just dont think teachers aren't milking this for all its worth too.. probably the same percentage 20% ish.
People of all walks of life are generally the same.
Most people need to send their kids to school in order to work. Why struggle paying teachers, with hungry kids, and no means to work? Might as well home school without the indoctrination.
Your right, that BLM gender theory is crap. People in general, on all sides, are complicitly at fault. No one is willing to fight for anything.
Im sorry again to dunk on you. I just feel strongly that everything should open up and be normal again. No "Its just lazy parents" excuses.
