Can I get some race riots to go, though? Maybe a race riots carry-out container? I've got a trip planned to chicongo and Baltimore in the near future and a race riot snack for the flights would be awesome. Love me some race riots.
This looks like an over-aggressive policing of the situation. They could have allowed the man, without grabbing him, to finish the few feet to the curb and then talked to him and/or issued a ticket. The man was not violent, didn't strike out, only unhanded the cop from pushing him. . .I didn't see a reason to escalate a minor matter into one where taking him to the sidewalk was deemed appropriate. Two police on one man lying on the concrete just seems wrong, all wrong. Then to gun him is sinful. They took his life over jaywalking. They must be so proud. . .
That is surely the truth. I can't imagine getting in the face of a cop and yelling at him (assault), let alone putting a hand on him (battery). Besides being horrible manners, they can get you hurt, as you point out.
Most cops and Sheriffs are good people doing a damned hard job and if you treat them with manners you will see them very pleasant.
Looked justified to me. Jaywalking tickets are like 20 bucks, he had contraband for sure.
Delicious. And satisfying, while not too filling.

When you yell back at the cops and slap their hands away, they get pissy. What started out as a jaywalk ticket could have easily stayed there.
