I pray you are right about secession. My body is ready.

Yeah, but for some reason, this has caused some people to want the Texas grid to be nationalized

Libtards in Texas probably

Yeah, guessing it's all the Commiefornians in Austin clamoring for that.

most laughable moment of the day has been the Lincoln Project goofing on Ted Cruz, meanwhile if there were underage boys in Cancun they'd be on the first plane

You say that like the media will ever question any of this. This event clearly demonstrates the media's bias on Democrats versus Republicans. I haven't seen much questioning of the Federal government's lack of response to this from the media, but when there's a Republican in office and something like this happens... That's all they talk about. How the Republican President just doesn't care about the people followed by video and pictures of people suffering.

It’s traitor Republicans who know exactly what they’re talking about.

I don’t see why. They’d probably be more comfortable with the rolling blackouts. Feels more like home to them.

Try Idaho. Great summers, hot springs, much to do in an actual winter.

21
marishiten 21 points ago +23 / -2

No. Idaho is full. Don't come here. We don't want you.

No offense, but it's all we can do to try to keep these faggot Californians out of Boise/Treasure Valley.

15
Heavy_Metal_Patriot 15 points ago +15 / -0

Recall that damn SJW mayor of Boise! Total embarrassment that Idaho - FREAKING IDAHO - elected a total freak. I'm looking at Cour d'Alene myself, but I am still hoping for that Greater Idaho plan to happen.

Hey go fuck yourself, Im from California and now living in Meridian, I left CA for allot of the same reasons many of my friends did, got sick of the liberal madness. Im sick of you locals talking shit about people moving here for a better life. Until you've had to make the same decisions as me and family had to, or any other real patriot that's moved here, don't judge and shut your fucking mouth!

-1
Pickinpox -1 points ago +5 / -6

Fuck off its far from full. No one asked what you wanted either. Freedom of movement is allowed. People first went to rape the hills for precious metals now we coming for the powder on them.

2

Two of my biggest concerns: Non democrat run state and good air quality for health reasons. A state has got to meet at least those two criteria.

6
LongLiveThRepublicTX 6 points ago +6 / -0

Reading /r/Texas is such a joke.

5
texas4ever 5 points ago +5 / -0

Some are but some are solid too. Have a neighbor from CA when he goes on an anti-CA anti-liberal rant most of even the people here would blush.

5
communityguy 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm originally from California and I have more hate for that place than probably anyone on earth, I could literally go on for hours about all the problems from there. Based Californians are experts on the failures of socialism, people can learn a lot from them

3
pddx22 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm a Cali native, and though I left 35 years ago, the only hate I have is for the politicians. California was once a bastion of freedom, and her decline should serve as a warning to everyone: they took the schools; they took the cities; they took the capital; and finally, they took everyone's freedom.

1
texas4ever 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, this isn't well known. I've actually heard reports that over 50% of Californians moving to Texas are actually based conservatives. Also by moving out of CA, they expose it even further, CA might flip at some point with even liberals voting R out of desperation it's getting so bad there.

6
Hanging_Chad 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yup. Do we know the party affiliation of the ERCOT board chairman who lives in Michigan?

15
Trumpsta 15 points ago +16 / -1

At this point I don’t think it matters. They need to be held accountable and we need to make sure we keep our own grid. Texas pede here.

6
conservativefrank 6 points ago +6 / -0

Ercot's board is a bunch of leftists. The power grid is not really "deregulated". It's regulated to the nth degree.

The leftists on Ercot's board have been pushing green energy. The more they add, the more it drives up the costs of TX energy.

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

FUCKING THIS RIGHT FUCKING HERE!

I would also like to know how much energy futures crash contributed to the natural gas plants output.

5
marishiten 5 points ago +5 / -0

It is nationalized.

It's part of the US Grid system.

It's just not interconnected to WES or EAS.

But it's regulated by the federal government and is part of the national grid system.

0
Hanging_Chad 0 points ago +1 / -1

It's just not interconnected to WES or EAS.

What's it interconnected to? https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=27152

ERCOT is unique in that the balancing authority, interconnection, and the regional transmission organization are all the same entity and physical system.

5
BillionsAndBillions 5 points ago +6 / -1

It is or was the case that the Texas grid can or could be isolated from the rest, quickly and easily. Might not be a great idea now that they've switched generation from coal to rainbow hugs and wishy feelings.

15
NullifyAndSecede 15 points ago +17 / -2

Once one concedes that a single world government is not necessary, then where does one logically stop at the permissibility of separate states? If Canada and the United States can be separate nations without being denounced as in a state of impermissible ‘anarchy’, why may not the South secede from the United States? New York State from the Union? New York City from the state? Why may not Manhattan secede? Each neighbourhood? Each block? Each house? Each person

We must promote the idea of secession. Or more specifically, we must promote the idea of a world composed of tens of thousands of distinct districts, regions, and cantons, and hundred of thousands of independent free cities such as the present day oddities of Monaco, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Greatly increased opportunities for economically motivated migration would thus result, and the world would be one of small [classically] liberal governments economically integrated through free trade and an international commodity money such as gold.

― Hans-Hermann Hoppe

OoooJackieBlue 119 points ago +119 / -0

I worked search and rescue back during Hurricane Harvey. FEMA was a farkin joke. If it weren't for volunteers from Cajun Navy, a LOT more people would have die. Animals too. Rednecks with bass boats were out saving people while FEMA was fucking off in front of cameras 50 miles from any water.

67
TAIWANNUMBERONE 67 points ago +67 / -0

A few years back a FEMA inspector found a guy in Florida after a damage assessment check who sold guns and had a big collection. After he went back home, he brought a few thug friends of his with him, killed the man and stole his stash. The Polk County sheriff has a press conference on it. Tells you all you need to know about FEMA really.

51
Gerbaski 51 points ago +51 / -0

And they tried to stop the Cajun Navy or atleast were a complete pain in the ass from what my cousing told me who was down there with his boat. Couldn't have regular citizens with $800 Jon boats and bass boats make the Government look bad.

33
themightykekfish 33 points ago +33 / -0

Regular people and government workers are in a different class it’s crazy.

I used to live near dc and these people would watch you hang for no reason while they got a promotion and ate a popsicle.

20
GameStonks 20 points ago +20 / -0

At the very best, government workers are incompetent. Those with talent use it to exploit the system and those under it's control.

OoooJackieBlue 24 points ago +24 / -0

Your cousin was right. We had to run a cop barricade to get to Vidor. They were set up at 2 am, blocking everyone from going through. We told them, we're with search and rescue. Three trucks all hauling waverunners and bass boats. Girl we were talking to on Zello kept trying to tell them, we had authorization. Nope. Finally my peeps in my truck we all looked at each other and were like, what, they gonna shoot us? So we hit the gas and swerved around them and headed on into Vidor. Next day state troopers rolled in and were giving people tickets as they came out of the waters.

10
TuckerCarlsonsTie 10 points ago +10 / -0

You serious? State troopers were giving tickets?

2
OoooJackieBlue 2 points ago +2 / -0

Most of the LEO we ran into down there were absolute dicks. I had to go dig up this video, remember seeing these guys rolling through water that would have floated our trucks out to sea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4SygBarif4&ab_channel=ViralHog

2

They don’t like the average citizen showing their jobs are absolutely meaningless because there are more of us than them.

2

To be fair, after footage of that leaked out, the Vidor PD came out and said that dude wasn't from their department and apologized profusely. But state and county? Assholes.

3

It's now Day 5 and Texas still doesn't have proper water or power. President Trump went on a tirade on Twitter today, blaming "AOC" and her minions for renewable energy sources creating 45% of the outages when they only provide 15% of the power to the state. Meanwhile, Sen. Cruz left Texas today to fly to Cancun in the midst of the worst weather even in Texas history.

Here with us today are 3 experts on Environmental Regulations and, well, people we've come to respect as experts on everything: Elizabeth Warren, Pat Leahy and the worlds little firecracker, Greta Thunberg.

I'm sorry, it appears as if we're losing Greta's signal. Can production double check for us, please? It appears as though Greta's face is stuck on the most unfortunate scowl.

If Trump were still in the Oval Office and his response to a left-leaning state was half as bad as this, there would be non-stop demands for his resignation, and some people would even be talking about criminal charges for negligence. He could have been working nonstop on the phone trying to get every resource at his disposal to them, and it wouldn't be enough. In fact, if Puerto Rico is an indicator, they may even sabotage some of it to make Trump look bad.

But since Biden is in the White House, the media continues to carry Biden's water while telling us how heartwarming it is that he played Mario Kart with his granddaughter (they even made it a point to let us know that he played as Luigi). At the same time, leftists are mocking Texas for not being prepared for a blizzard and cold snap that maybe happens once a century, if that.

Fun story about FEMA here in Texas. I have no evidence for this but I wish I did. During a flood event in the last six years, FEMA made the call on which areas of Houston to allow to flood based on the income level of the neighborhood. Subdivisions with higher property value were allowed to be destroyed to save shit down in the Third Ward (ghetto) because there would be less money for them to pay out. Their logic was to screw people who had insurance.

They can keep their generators. This thing’ll be over before they get down here.

4
TAIWANNUMBERONE 4 points ago +4 / -0

Government agencies are the planted weapons of the bureaucrats to be used by third world scum all financed by banks.

0
tholins 0 points ago +2 / -2

FEMA does some things right. It’s framework for emergency response is very useful; I’ve worked on such events and it’s good to have that standard. However, in general, yeah, I’d prefer to have far fewer and smaller agencies.

13

I think Civil War type secession would take decades if it were to happen. What's going to happen is that we'll lead a block of states to repeatedly stymie the Biden Regime and going forward other Coastal city/state coalitions.

4
logan34 4 points ago +4 / -0

I dont ever see a full blown secession but looks at Scotland and Uk. It's basically a free country but pays a tax to UK for overall military protection and separate borders. That's a much more likely scenario the more communism takes hold of america.

They would send in regiment infantry men in waves to fight one of the greatest mounted tribes people since the steppe tribes of east Asia.

Texans got pissed and formed the rangers. I’ll give you a hint it wasn’t good.

Half the reason the civil war was so bad is that many of those men were among them and they had learned terrible things.

Except he did just that for Harvey. He was here, he visited, he gave supplies, he gave money from his own pocket, and Melania did much the same. A few black people got redpilled and even with tons of voter fraud the blue wave hope was crumbled since Houston was split nearly down the middle for Biden and Trump.

Texas will never be blue, Houston is filled with illegals, FOB Asians, muslims, Louisiana blacks, and hipsters from Cali....and Trump still won legal votes here. The mayor wouldn't have won without voter fraud either.

I think this was a staged crisis. To set up Govenor and senators next election. If you dont have a crisis create one.Why did Biden give the Chinese access to our grid?

Just a suggestion, if you want to be an independent state then stop going to the Feds for everything.

Not saying they shouldn't try to get that money back that the Feds have been milking for years, but not a good sign of how independent they are.

This.

In reality , they are being punished for trying to secede.

Dragluian1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Clearly Texas is being punished for its independence.

Trump would have sent all the generators in the country and the news would still say it's not enough.

Because it's Biden, the news is just like "haha snow in texas"

The left crucified Trump when he drew in the hurricane map and discussed a worst case scenario. If he were in office I have no doubt he would have had planned for the worst and hoped for the best mobilizing every resource he could as soon it began, not days later.

You know what this is about...everyone knows. Like everything else the last 4 years this is punishment and revenge on the “wrong types” of Americans. All planned all along.

Texas: Why the fuck do we pay taxes to you feds?

Feds: ummmmmmmmm, please don't leave us.

Texas: Adios

Why is Biden going to help a red state? They want to travel ban Florida foe breaking the narrative.

AuthorPatriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Secede and lead the rest of the South and Midwest!

3
Darkheartisland 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is Biden's response. Every death is his fault alone.

60 generators to power up their microchip injection centers.

Remember this shit when it comes to our grid. Fuck the feds and their bullshit rules, Texans need Texan based electricity to keep their heat on during a cold snap. Texas first, Texas Forever!

I've been saying this since Monday. When we thaw out and what's left of the water spurts out of almost every home and bussines the real chaos and anger will surface. Pray for us

gaijin_ronin 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hopefully the balls in Texas are still large and made of brass (or steel)

Titanium or Bust.

sunsetlament 3 points ago +3 / -0

To be fair, we don't want anybody's help. The only people who want the federal government involved are the liberals running the major cities.

3
Coprolite 3 points ago +3 / -0

The feds are punishing Texas for sueing GA, PA, MI, WI.

I was in The D.C. National Conference Center when Katrina hit. FEMA was there at the same time. FEMA might as well have been a colony of lepers. People hated them and were yelling at them in the hallways of the complex.

ChickNorris 3 points ago +3 / -0

Trump would have been there himself. Seriously.

2
marishiten 2 points ago +3 / -1

No he wouldn't have.

The9thPatriot 1 point ago +2 / -1

Like he was there marching down PA Avenue?

3
JuicyfearsMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Never rely on the federal government. Obama, bush, Biden have all been disastrous with emergency responses. Trump had fema on point and is the best president when it comes to handling national emergencies than anyone in generations.

Beer-_-Belly 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why is TX paying fed income tax if they get no support?

3
Donarudo_Taranpu 3 points ago +3 / -0

Where's the news media to blame this natural disaster on the President*? Remember all those hurricanes and wild fires that were President Trump's fault?

3
pente1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

The weathers only going to get colder in the decades to come. Vote for people who can get things done. Not liberal dreamers.

3
UNITED_WE_STAND1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Trump would have been there by now.
