And on top of that they aren't for equality under law either which just compounds their stupidity. An actual egalitarian is for equality of opportunity and demands equality under the law. The exact opposites of what marxists are pushing for. It sounds like you were talking to marxists who do what they always do and coopt a name to try and blend in. Same reason why "liberal" is now linked to them and why they took on the mantle of "progressive" back in the early 1900's.

They push all tenets of cultural Marxism while living on high to very high middle class incomes. Most of these people are urban dwellers or commute to sub urban areas. I've lived among these people my entire life, I know what makes them tick and I know just how clueless they are of the real world.
