I’ve never understood how this could ever possibly be legal. I can “buy” land with cold hard cash, but if I don’t fork over thousands upon thousands to the government each year, they can kick me right off of it. How does that make any sense? It’s not even ethical or moral... let alone should be legal.
They usually claim that half your property tax dollars are going to pay for local schools, but then why do those of us without children have to pay it?
if they wanted to pay for schools, they could use any other local tax to fund it too. they don't want americans owning their own land, they want everyone to rent from a wealthy landlord
