How about the wood chipper first to break the larger parts down first and then the meat grinder second to get the bits more finely ground and packaged nicely for pig feed.
Normally a wood chipper sprays out too far to fall into your standard meat grinder vat catch. Whereas even your fattest meat grinder die is going to be fine to fall directly into a standard feed of a wood chipper. You can also cram a ton of flesh into a standard commercial meat grinder and not clog or jam it due to the paddle, assuming you chop it into decent sized pieces first. This includes most of your non major bones (fingers and toes and small pieces would totally go through most grinders no prob).
I Was thinking of having a large catch chute on the exit end of the wood chipper feeding 100% of the chopped meat into the meat grinder. The meat grinder would be one of the old ass meat grinders that are hand cranked, the kind that kids would get their hands stuck in back in the day.
While I understand what you are saying, using a hand cranked meat grinder with large unbroken bones is in a word, hard. I am not sure you have ever used the old fashioned hand cranked meat grinders, but they certainly require a bit of muscle that a typical leftist just doesn't have. With large bones like femurs and hips... I'd imagine even the strongest of conservatives would have a bit of a struggle grinding them up in a hand cranked meat grinder.
You could technically run a meat grinder directly into a wood chipper. Not that difficult.
