I was just at a meeting with the recall campaign's official spokesman Dr. Cordie Williams not 3 hours ago.
He specifically said that there are some 1.3 million signatures already verified. Although they expect some dirtbaggery to be attempted, the legal team is confident that there are too many eyeballs on this for any shenanigans to be pulled off.
We are pretty confident that the recall will go through.
They were, but they were everywhere. If the entire country had focused on one instance of fuckery it would have broken, but everyone was watching 20 different instances of fuckery which let them hand-wave it all away.
Is this the campaign's own counted verified signatures or these verification numbers have been acknowledged by CA officials? I feel like those two numbers could be quite different, potentially.
The numbers I was given last night were ~1.8 million and 1.3 verified. That second number is likely subject to change, but we're pretty confident about getting to 2 million raw signatures and the organizers have been very diligent about ensuring valid signatures throughout.
I met the organizer at the Trump Rally in Carson City, NV back in October and was impressed by his professionalism.
I spoke with them through out the duration of this recall. They were paying $3 a signature to have them verified before being sent up state. The last I heard they were at 850k of them verified. IDK since then but the numbers of people signing skyrocketed after the election. We went from about 300 a weekend to over 1600 a weekend in weeks. We were extremely careful about explaining questioning and having people sign correctly. It has been a massive undertaking. Bass pro in Rancho Cucamonga was crazy every weekend. We would have 4-5 people/families standing in line to sign at any given time.
