This country was founded by people from across the ocean but there was no country here to immigrate to. By your logic the natives are also immigrants. We were not founded by Irish immigrants from the 1800's. What is the difference between our colonists and natives exactly? They all decided to go live somewhere else one day. It's exactly the same thing. Who cares how long they were here, they were not here originally.

Your argument frankly sounds a little bit like the ones I hear lefties make about Latino immigrants, "what would we do without the tacos and avocados?" We would be just fine without it. I agree that it needs to be controlled but in my mind that control comes in the form of a 20 to 30 year complete moratorium. We are not a developing nation anymore and 3rd world cultures do not belong here.
