I dont care what president we have. I dont want federal government "helping" an making us dependent.

TrumpAndGodWin 13 points ago +13 / -0

It's coming if we don't work together in big numbers. Sad that it looks like they'll have to hurt us badly before we do anything. I don't know if people are stupid, delusional, intellectually lazy, selfish, normalcy biased, or what to not see the threat.

WiseOldOwl 3 points ago +3 / -0

People see the threat. The thing is, no one wants to stand out and get a swat team.

Founders weren't smarter than we are, they were all masons with a secret clubhouse and also had the government at a 6 week message travel distance with another 6 weeks back.

I am still waiting for that Texit scenario with other states to follow.

Texit is growing. Texit rallys are planned all over the state. Check out Texas Nationalist Movement. Consider joining!

Instead of asking Texas if they should LEAVE the union ask them for 3 good reasons for why they would ever join the union. Hint: there’s no good reason for Texas to join the fed gov.

What’s funny is I think in their minds, all the handling and political hitpieces on Texas is them trying to say “See this is why you shouldn’t secede because you need us” when it’s doing the opposite if anything

I'm just hoping all the out-of-state libtards who were considering moving to TX are now considering elsewhere due to the "texas catastrophe". Yes, stay away libtards.

If Texas becomes a free state, get ready for the biggest, ugliest espionage war in the history of mankind.

If you guys do this, you need to hire every ex-spy you can get and get them to work on both offense and defense. Because the powers that be aren't going to let this happen without doing everything they can to slowly strangle you. .

Yeah, but for real. Do you remember how they treated Yugoslavia, South Africa, and Serbia?

Sure, they made really good cases about how those were rogue states, bad guys, totally justified. Soon Poland and Hungary will be getting the same treatment.

Anyone who isn't big enough to say fuck you to the establishment gets the short end from the establishment.

One person one vote is the social contract that was violated. Texas power is an internal issue for Texas to deal with. Abbott will pay the price.

8
Avenatti2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

I’m all for shitting on Abbott. That said, the focus for maximum shitting needs to be Xiden for doing the absolute bare minimum and playing mario kart in camp david during all of this. I know he signed the FEMA shit and whatever, but FEMA has been a joke and Xiden isn’t exerting any pressure on them to do their jobs.

After all the years of bullshit we had to hear about President Trump’s handling of Puerto Rico (which was excellent), then Xiden deserves to have this be his Katrina in the public eye.

Maybe Texas and Alberta could separate at the same time and form a new republic together. They would have total North American oil dominance.

The US has been overtaken and occupied by evil cocksuckers. Secession? No. Revolution? Yes. We should take back America, not secede.

This isn't a popular take, but I don't think we'll ever take our country back because we've been pussified. "Condemn the violence." I think violence is the only solution that would work. It'd have to be organized with top leaders to get normie patriots to back it, but otherwise it's all going to be a bunch of weak bs. You cannot win if only your side fights fair while the other side cheats their asses off.

Love the country; hate the government.

Focus our efforts on removing the Biden regime from power rather than secession. Leftists will not leave us be if we did manage to secede

Texas's situation is sooo sus.

It is HIGHLY illegal to shut off power and water in the WINTER during a STORM.

And the Deep State hates that Texas is standing up to them.

Wouldn't be surprised their snuffing reports of skirmishes going on there now.

4
MapleBaconWaffles 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just regarding the illegality of shutting of power, I doubt they had a choice. I'm not totally clear on the internal workings of the power grid, but I think when their renewables shut down it had a cascading effect. The silver lining is perhaps more people will come to realize that solar and wind are not reliable energy sources.

3
GeoG85 3 points ago +3 / -0

In 2021, they had no choice?

This ain't the Wild West days. If the PR says "they had no choice", they are possibly full of shit.

Our ancestors would KILL to have the technology and information we have. The amount of power and responsibility that comes with it.

1
SuckACuck4 1 point ago +2 / -1

It's not highly illegal and more people would be without power longer without intentional brownouts. Texas just ain't up to snuff and couldn't provide all the power requested. They had no choice or there would be more catastrophic failures.

1
sentient-potato 1 point ago +2 / -1

"brownouts"? Those are meant to be rolling, short or partial. Our entire neighborhood was without power for 8-10 hours at a stretch, with 1-2 hours in between which was barely enough to warm our home, which didn't get above 52 degrees for almost 5 days.

No this isn't illegal, it's mismanagement and low standards coming back to roost, but if they'd actually done brownouts the damage we've all suffered would've been greatly mitigated.

2
T-Bear 2 points ago +2 / -0

^^^THIS^^^ is true. Every word of it.

In my neighborhood, constant power vanished at 2:00 AM Sunday, and resurfaced Wednesday at 8:30 PM. In-between, it was 1-2 hours on, 8-10 off.

We are finding out just how much of a boondoggle it has been to bend the knee to all these renewable energy policies.

It is reported that federal directives made certain natural gas pipelines were pumped by electric pumps, rather than by gas-driven pumps.

It is reported ERCOT obeyed the DoE's directive to NOT increase electric output in anticipation of the wind turbines going down.

It is reported that several other policies contributed to the cascade effect we saw happen over the last week - like keeping coal power units offline because of CO2 emissions.

All of these policies were environmentally driven.

Just remember: "Environmentally conscious" = "deadly for Americans" when confronted with catastrophes of this magnitude.

2
sentient-potato 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hope you and your family is ok, pede. No burst pipes?

We have one so far, our hardwoods are buckling. But neighbors are helping neighbors and we'll get through it!

2
T-Bear 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, we are okay. Again - neighbors helping neighbors here.

Temps today got up over freezing and stayed there much of the day. That allowed the ice to come down out of the trees, lowering that chance of damage.

No frozen or burst pipes. Temps got down below 40* in the house, though.

Lots of hard questions about policies and decisions need to happen over the next few weeks and months. Heads should roll for what happened.

If you think the democrats have established they can steal an election and will care MORE about people you are delusional. They literally have no reason anymore to give a sh*t about anything as long as they can keep those voting machines in place.
