Got my third shot just before my deployment ended, and I swear I felt like an 80 year-old man! It has taken me years to be able to move and I'll never be the same. The rate of autoimmune problems in the military is significant, and seems to be rising. The military has always been Guinea Pigs; and it often takes years or decades until problems present.
I retired, and swore I'd never have another shot. We are mission essential, so we were some of the first to get the shot. I'd say half the folks have gotten the second shot, so far. Haven't heard of any serious side-effect. I'll be last (as in never) and I'll quit if they make it mandatory--though I'm too old to worry about kids, I will not take anything made with, or tested on, aborted babies. And they call us Nazis!

Why even offer it? Average age in the military is 27 in peak physical shape. Lowest risk category there is.
