Covid has really profited from society's narcissism problem. This whole thing only works because these idiots are bent so far out of shape they've turned this into a contest of who is doing the most to save society etc. It's same as during the Floyd stuff when a bunch of wealthy liberals would get together in a suburb and walk around for a bit with black lives matter signs and feel like fucking heros for something that accomplished literally nothing besides giving them something to brag about on Facebook.
