Generally speaking, foreign news outlets are better at reporting factual news about the USA than the vast majority of domestic news outlets mostly because they don't have to deal with the politics and they can just report it.

It's sad...

That’s actually fairly inaccurate. Sky News is totally different from every other network which digests and turns around American mainstream news. They only get stories from CNN, NBC, CBS and the like and consider Fox News to be off the reservation. So your average foreign news consumer has no fucking clue what is going on in the US.
