I found it last month. But I didn't dare go to the hospital since they wouldn't admit me without a bogus COVID test. I wouldn't be surprised if most people with the flu did the same.
Same, pretty sure I had the flu but I’m not going to get a test just to “find out” the results after I’m fully recovered. If what I had was covid I’m ashamed the world shut down over this.
Loss of taste and smell is the result of zinc depletion. You can get it when fighting a viral infection. It just seems stark in Covid because we are talking about it it day in day out. The cure for Covid is to stop talking about it.
I seriously wonder how many people think they have COVID because we talk about the symptoms NON STOP. Did you cough more than twice today? Does your spaghetti taste like it usually does? No? COVID!!!
I had a nasty bought with a virus a year ago that resulted in the use of copious amounts of tissue paper, chills, and loss of taste/smell for about a week. If I went in today with those symptoms I'm almost certain I would be diagnosed with COVID-19.
No. Of all the times I've been sick, losing taste was not one of the things I encountered over my 42 years. But, again, we're all different and this thing effects everyone a bit differently.
Who knows. All I know is it isn't worth the worldwide panic they turned the volume knob up to.
They won't admit you just because you have COVID. They will send you home, usually before your tests are done and you are suppose to quarantine if you are postive. Same thing we would do with the Flu every year since I started working in an ED.
I work facilities maintenance at a large medical university and the flu shot is mandatory every year.... okay, whatever. They're really pushing the Cocid vaccine, but haven't made it mandatory... yet. I dread the day they do. Oh, and masks are required EVERYWHERE!! When they made those a requirement, the memo even said that they were doing it to make patients and visitors "feel safe"... it's such fucking bullshit! What's it like where you're at?
I lost COMPLETE smell and taste for 2 weeks. Never experienced anything like it. I even went so far as to essentially huff gasoline and not a thing. Would eat a teaspoon of Tabasco each day to see if it was back.

If you lost taste/smell, it was Covid. If not, just the flu/cold. Easy to spot the difference now.

Hmmmm- can we surmise that’s why Zinc helps? Bc your body is using it and needs more to fight off virus?

Don't always lose taste/smell with covid.
Hm. I'll take your word for it, sir.
Everyone that I know that's had it, including myself and my girlfriend, have all lost taste/smell as a part of it. Just my experience with it.
For about 1 day I lost smell. My senses are always dulled when sick to an extent.
Many sicknesses result in those symptoms. Think back to being a kid and having the Flu, remember how weird things would taste???

Soon, the poison vaccine will be mandated by health providers if you see them about any illness. Just watch.
I honestly expect to be telecommuting for the rest of my life because I refuse to submit or to wear a mask.

You’d still be on a ventilator
