To become a President you need to be a household name. Trump was a household name but there were negative impressions of him before he ever ran for politics. He was the symbol of wealth and greed, arrogance, etc., These perceptions carried over when he ran for President.

This is interesting. He definitely had a reputation going into it. And I largely agree with what you've said. Including your initial skepticism. Me too. But he's hated (by the deep state) because he's not a globohomo and the MSM was able to manipulate the masses because of his playboy image. He wasn't hated because of his playboy image. But maybe that's what you were saying, too. Idk.
