From 2016 up until the 2018 Twitter and Facebook were dragged before Congress and the Senate and grilled for supposedly allowing the Russians to rig the election for Donald Trump. Before then, Twitter and Facebook didn't have a problem with free speech. While they were being attacked, we piled on as well instead of defending them and both of them caved to the demands of the Uniparty. They censored and banned Trump and censored Conservative voices to get the extortioners off their backs.

When you allow politicians to bully corporations into suppressing the rights of the citizens, this is what happens. The Dems even managed to get $400 million from Zuckerberg to help them rig the elections. Now Facebook and Twitter are back in the good graces of our dear rulers.

When this happened we joined in the piling on instead of defending them. What did you expect them to do? They have employees and shareholders to answer to and no company needs bad publicity on top of the threat of being regulated to death by an out of control federal government.

So now we reaped what we sowed and ended up with two authoritarian arms of the federal government.

The first amendment wasn't created to protect popular speech. No authoritarian government ever claimed to suppress free speech. They suppress dangerous speech. They thus have the leeway to decide what speech is dangerous and what is not.
