If by “deal with the situation” you mean enforce the tyranny on your kid then that’s what gets difficult. Every turn is some mask Nazi or vaccine queen trying to make you push it on your kid.

Much like being banned online, if you can’t go shopping, swimming, to movie or restaurant without being harassed for noncompliance then the choice simply becomes how much are you willing to become a hermit and isolate your kid.

Sure - losing and getting into it with your kid there is no good. Neither is being a hermit. Neither is silently joining his jailers.
