Fuck Ted Cruz. I want a MAGA candidate in his seat.

just like AG Barr... he's a good "speaker" (propagandist)

104
theblackprince 104 points ago +107 / -3

Hopefully the day comes sooner than later when people will stop simping for this uniparty goon. Cruz is hot garbage and it's why he almost lost to fucking Beto.

72
el-y0y0s 72 points ago +74 / -2

He lost my respect this week by not actually believing and hence defending in the actions he took. He showed tremendous weakness in his lack of candor and resolve.

Cancun Cruz wont make it another term much less making a run at POTUS. I didnt choose that namesake, he did.

That's terrific! Ted "The Dildo Collector" Cruz lost me at the 2016 Convention when he refused to endorse Trump. I would say he is a worthless bag of dildos except that a bag of dildos is at least worth something.

Ted Cruz is not eligible to run for POTUS , he is not a NATURAL BORN Citizen as the Founders decided in the Constitution . President Trump was right to question his candidacy . Not following the US Constitution is what GAVE US the DISASTER named Barack Hussein Obama , because he was not a NATURAL BORN citizen . We seem to NEVER LEARN .

6
JuicyfearsMAGA 6 points ago +6 / -0

Either is Kamala Harris

2
dianabrown1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, either was BHO and you see how much that meant.

3
JuicyfearsMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agree but their side hates this country and everything that makes it great. They're globalists who don't believe in borders. We believe in sovereignty and the Constitution so our side shouldn't be even considering people like Cruz or even Rubio or McCain types. For more reasons than just the one that is being discussed.

“in the eyes of early Americans, would someone born in a foreign country of American parents be a ‘natural born citizen’ and therefore eligible to be President of the UnitedStates?” The pertinent historical materials lead to only one conclusion: aside from children born to U.S. ambassadors or soldiers in hostile armies, the answer is “no."

Source: Conclusion Section https://scholarship.law.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=3314&context=lawreview

Seems that Cruz supports original intent when it comes to the Constitution except when it comes at his expense.

When my daughter and husband were born, in each case to 2 US citizen parents and on a US military installation, they still required a sort of naturalization paper from the American embassy in Germany or Japan before they could fly back stateside along with the passport. Now, when Congress said McCain was eligible to run for president I don't know if it applies to everyone or was just f6r mcswain. So he could lose with honor😒

0
MotherOf13Furbabies 0 points ago +2 / -2

Uh huh. Howsoever, when pressed during the primary of 2015 to provide his US birth certificate, this chud gave us his MOMMIE'S. BFD. Cruz was born on Canadian soil to a Cuban immigrant father and a DELAWARE born mother. Not eligible due to that, and due to choking during the important milestones. The 2016 Convention AND 6 Jan. Plus, excoriating President Trump for whipping up anger. FUCK you, commie Cruz! Otherwise he's an AWESOME wordsmith. Typical lawyer.

4
peterthegreen 4 points ago +5 / -1

Neither was McCain. He was born in the Panama Canal region which was US-controlled (given up by Carter) but never officially declared US territory. The 2008 election was an unconstitutional uniparty sham.

Spez: The installation was indeed declared US territory but not until after McCain was born there.

3
Yawnz13 3 points ago +4 / -1

That isn't how it works. He was born on a US military installation, which is de facto US territory.

1
peterthegreen 1 point ago +1 / -0

There's a difference between "natural born" and US cittizen. McCain was born on a US military installation but not within the United States itself. In order to dodge this issue, in 2008 the US Senate issued a non-binding resolution declaring McCain was eligible to run for President. Despite the constitutional provision, the Deep State protects its own.

1
peterthegreen 1 point ago +2 / -1

The fact that McCain was born on a US military installation outside the US makes him a US citizen, but not "natural born" as required by the constitution.

Cruz showed who he is from 2015 - a desperate corporatist with some swamp creatures behind him.

He pretends to support MAGA and wants to straddle both sides of the fence. He is not about principles only his political position!

That's why they do not understand President Trump & his supporters. PDJT will ALWAYS have champions in his corner as people are fed up with political smoke & mirrors!!!

Yeah it’s like people forgot that Lyin’ Ted backstabbed Trump at the 2016 GOP convention. Then he returned to true form calling Jan 6ers terrorists.

Everything I’ve heard is this guy has no friends. The reason he stomped out of the Bush White House and went back to TX is he didn’t get the job he wanted bc he didn’t make any friends on the 2000 campaign.

I’ll take his pandering if he votes the right way, but I’m not blind to his nature.

30
Joesf23 30 points ago +32 / -2

He cucks out to people that will always hate him then shits on the voters who would actually have his back against the harpies and soyboys in the media or the demons in the DNC. This is why conservatives will never win against the left if they continue to follow the GOP off the cliff.

18
NerBolanski 18 points ago +19 / -1

Conservative politicians:”I hate all white nationalists and advocates.America is a nation of ideas not people.” The same politicians:”do you know MLK is black.the Dems are the real racists.we love hip hop music.Blacks and Hispanics are natural conservatives.Ice cube and 50 cent are based.Cubans are too based ;they are better than Americans”

During elections,Blacks get their guns and vote for Dems while conservatives are voted by whites mostly even though the conservative politicians denigrate whites. The conservatives treat whites worse than the democrats treat blacks.

5
Joesf23 5 points ago +5 / -0

True. I guess conservative is wrong word to use at this point since I'm not even sure what they stand for at this point because they give in to the left so much. It's not even so much that I want "pro white" politicians. I'm just so sick of the right bending over backwards to virtue signal that we arent "nazis" and then get wrecked in the voting booth by the very people we are trying gain as new voters. The best we can ever hope for is 15% of the black vote while still using maga policies and maybe 35-40% of the hispanic vote.

1
NerBolanski 1 point ago +4 / -3

I don’t need a politician to be pro-white but to at least respect them and talk about them positively. The politician just needs to tend to the needs of non-Hispanic white.

Hispanic immigration wouldn’t be bad if we actually control it;Lot of Hispanics are white.Hispanics and non-Hispanic whites in America can discuss and then we will arrive at a solution. It will be in the interest of both groups if America remains a majority white Protestant English-speaking country

The party itself.

Do you see the party embracing trump, or Marjorie Greene?

No. Because they’re MAGA candidates, not republicans

5
ramennov 5 points ago +8 / -3

Trump ran as a Republican. Marjorie Taylor-Greene ran as a Republican. Lauren Boebert ran as a Republican.

MAGA people can and do win Republican seats. We need more of them, not less. If we win enough Republican seats, we become the Republican party.

4

It doesn't really matter. All of Congress is compromised by what has happened.

If a politician takes DIRECT action for the good of the Republic that is DIRECTLY AGAINST THEIR SELF INTEREST (harms their reputation with other politicians at least, financial or other pain is even better) then I will BEGIN to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Anyone who regularly goes and speaks civilly with the lying demons that infest the halls of power is suspect.

And someone who actually wants to win. Ted Cruz is all show and talk.

4
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 4 points ago +5 / -1

He pretty much exemplifies and embodies how the GOP has allowed the Democrats to destroy our country over the last few decades. Talking the talk but then bending the knee and cucking out at the first sign of resistance. Sucking up to the misleadia and other Democrats in a futile attempt to ingratiate themselves. Failing to stand by their principles and always willing to compromise them.

We will never win with such "leaders". President Trump blazed the trail and lit the path for the GOP and they still lacked the courage and righteousness to follow it. Fuck them.

These people just want to be popular in their chosen circles. They're narcissists. It's part of the reason they're drawn to politics in the first place.

Ted Cruz will do or say whatever gives him that attention and popularity. We saw how quickly he got on board with MAGA after Trump was inaugurated. The tell was how quickly he would go back to Lyin' Ted after Trump was gone. Now we know.

He's not a 100% MAGA representative, but he's better than most R's. You can basically tell how good they are by how much the left villifies them...and he's pretty high on the drive by media's hit lists.

52

4
anonymousdonor 4 points ago +4 / -0

-2
Itchlord -2 points ago +2 / -4

He stood by trump for the whole election fraud deal, and you can't say he cucked out on that because trump "conceded" as well. 2017 onwards, he's been one of the most MAGA-friendly R in the senate.

2
Monz 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't see why you get so many downvotes when you are right. At the very least Cruz is not an enemy. I know people here are extremely angry at the government, but people need to calm down a bit. Don't get blinded by the rage.

1
anonymousdonor 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sooo, what has he done? He's is chubby, smarmy and full of deceit. He repels people from him. Conservatives are dumb enough to like him because he says things they like, but he doesn't do shit. What has he said about the demographic take over of Texas? Nothing. Why? Because he was part of it.

2
DrWhu 2 points ago +2 / -0

63
NADSAQ 63 points ago +63 / -0

Donald Trump tried to teach them how to win. They didn’t heed the lesson.

I was just talking about this, like you read my mind. Never apologize to the liberal outrage mob. It admits guilt, it will never be enough for them anyway, and they’ve put you on defense. Cruz should have told them to go fuck themselves while drinking a margarita on the beach. But he’s a fairweather faggot.

7
vicentezo04 7 points ago +7 / -0

He should have filmed himself listing all the Democrat mayors who traveled to Mexico while their cities were locked down while lounging back in a beach chair and sipping a margarita.

I dont have a problem with the policies Ted is pushing or the fact he went on vacation but he has an unhealthy need to seek the approval of the left.

-5
Jaqen -5 points ago +12 / -17

I guess consider me part of the "liberal outrage mob", or something?

What Ted did was horrendous! Fine, send your wife and kids on vacation. But you keep your rear end in Texas and pull as many all nighters as it takes to fix the problem.

Unbelievable that we are unable to analyze this situation clearly.

The left would hate Ted if he cured cancer. Ignore them.

Ted let us down. Again.

10
IraqVeteran8888 10 points ago +13 / -3

8
HorribleDeplorable 8 points ago +10 / -2

How about making a huge fucking deal out of the fact that FEMA and the Biden feds didn't give two shits about what’s going on down there? Bring some cameras and show them how bad it is.

For all we know he’s skulking around because he was had some part in allowing this to happen, either through negotiated deals with the EPA or allowing power plants to be built with systems that can’t handle ongoing freezing temperatures who fucking knows what he’s into locally.

They have a mess down there and it’s not all liberals fault.

4
Barbs 4 points ago +5 / -1

The people who make excuses for Cruz are worse than the people calling him out.

The optics of his trip were terrible. This is my forté, so I know what I’m talking about. 8
krzyzowiec 8 points ago +8 / -0

How is that a clear analysis? If he was a plumber and he ran away from a leak, sure, but he's a politician. He can call people and harass them from wherever. He's not some soldier who ran away instead of being in the trenches with you.

2
anishr 2 points ago +2 / -0

He's the manager at a plumbing company. Instead of organizing around the crisis and sending help, he nopes the fuck outta there. If your manager goes on vacation when there's a crisis leaving you to bend your back and do the hard work, would you still say the same thing?

1
krzyzowiec 1 point ago +1 / -0

How do you know? You know for sure he didn't organize and try to get help for Texans?

3
anishr 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don’t know for sure. But I lost all faith in him when he backstabbed President Trump. My instinct tells me he doesn’t really work for the benefit of the people. I would love to be wrong though.

I can ask you the same question. How do you know he’s done anything in the middle of this crisis?

2
krzyzowiec 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't believe he works for the people either. I think he's a politician who works for himself. As you say, he stabbed Trump in the back, but he's done many things that indicate to me that he is not genuine. He just likes the attention and being seen as an intellectual conservative heavyweight.

I can ask you the same question. How do you know he’s done anything in the middle of this crisis?

I don't. The difference is I'm not judging him for being out of state. If I knew for a fact that he left and didn't do a thing for Texans, then I would agree with you. The thing is that him leaving is not evidence of him not doing anything. Why would you buy into that idea? Did it occur to you that the media is targeting him and trying to give that impression in order to destroy him? The daily mail even put out four articles about him, one saying that he abandoned his dog lol. No evidence for that either, just pictures of his dog at his house while he was not there, as if he couldn't have paid someone or asked a neighbor to watch over him.

One thing I know for sure is that the media loves lying about people, and everything they print should be doubted. Maybe he was running away or maybe he wasn't, but I wouldn't believe that just because the media decided to focus on him.

3
anishr 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh for sure, I'm not basing my "he didn't do anything" on whatever the MSM sewage "reports". That bit about the dog is just retarded, and even if its true I don't give a shit. I'm basing it on my instinct

Also, I'm not gonna come to the defense of some traitor who sold us out when we needed him the most

1
Jaqen 1 point ago +1 / -0

He admitted he made a mistake. He felt the pang of conscience.

Or looking at it another way, God spoke to Ted and reminded him of something.

And Ted listened, which is good. But he still made the initial mistake of fleeing a disaster.

The optics of a leader fleeing his constituents can not be understated. Under no circumstances is that acceptable behavior.

When times get tough, the tough go on vacation?

What about this is so hard for people to understand? Are you so blinded by allegiance to your "leaders" that you can not think critically?

Absolutely absurd reactions here.

3
krzyzowiec 3 points ago +3 / -0

Perhaps he's doing what politicians do when they see negative publicity.

What about this is so hard for people to understand? Are you so blinded by allegiance to your "leaders" that you can not think critically?

I only follow God. Maybe that's why I don't have the same reaction as people who see him as their "leader".

3
Major_Nutt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why? It's not his job to take care of the state at that level. That's what the state government is for.

Take care of your own damn self. If you don't have power for days on end, that's on you for not having a generator.

1
Jaqen 1 point ago +2 / -1

He admitted it was a mistake, read the article:

as I was heading down there, you know, I started to have second thoughts almost immediately. Because the crisis here in Texas, you need to be here on the ground, and as much as you can do by phone and Zoom, it’s not the same as being here

The man admits he made a mistake and here you are making excuses for his clearly irresponsible behavior.

Unbelievable. Try not to be a sycophant, really, it is embarrassing to see this kind of behavior here.

3
Major_Nutt 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm no fucking sycophant, I just don't give a shit about what politicians do in their own time, because taking care of me and mine is no one's responsibility except for my own.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're right. You're ultimately responsible for your own destiny.

But we are talking about a very prominent politician here, and a very publicized disaster.

So you are not a sycophant, fine, I believe you. But are you really giving the guy a pass here just because your hackles are up in defensive mode from leftist talking trash on the internet?

Dude got caught sneaking off at a really bad time. I'm disappointed by it, the left is laughing at in feigned horror, and even the man himself knows he stepped in it.

Yet you can't see a problem?

2
Major_Nutt 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not particularly.

Nothing he could do in person would be any more effective than phone calls. It's not like he can go and add electricity to the grid by attaching clamps to his chest.

2
anonymousdonor 2 points ago +4 / -2

Agreed, he could have sent his family along and stayed behind.

3
Jaqen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Notice how the liberal outrage mob targets Cruz but none of Biden's horrible statements/actions the last few weeks

Well, Don Jr was also contrasting him with Cuomo. Sure, Ted didn’t kill thousands of people by being an idiot, but he still appeared to be abandoning his constituents in their time of need.

All people really want to know is that he’s working as hard as he can to get them the help they need, even if he’s mostly impotent in the chain of command.

A lot of people here don’t seem to truly understand the importance of optics in politics, because what it looks like you’re doing is often far more important than what you’re actually doing.

Ya, stick to Aimpoint or Eotech.

2

AOC and Beto are organizing fundraising and taking advantage of the crisis for democrats. As conservatives we oppose government welfare so should be the ones supporting voluntary assistance. It just looks bad and will probably help energize Texas democrats.

2
anonymousdonor 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's very little towards him because he left. The hate is due to him having no spine.

2
Mustangmark83 2 points ago +4 / -2

It just looks bad. He came across as tone deaf

2
krzyzowiec 2 points ago +2 / -0

Looks bad to whom?

3
p8riot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Me. His voters I assume. Everyone loses power and their Senator hightails to cancun....

1
krzyzowiec 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you had the option, would you go to Cancun?

3
p8riot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not if my people are struggling. A leader doesn't flee his people. His excuse is pathetic too, using his kids as a shield.

Scum like AOC, Pelosi, Cuomo, and adulterer Omar, all do the same: They NEVER apologize for being wrong, they instead triple down after getting caught.

Cruz should have never, NEVER apologized. But F the maga base for piling on. Even Jack Posobiec lambasted Ted.

2
NoatakTheWiser 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fuck their 666reat reset and everyone helping to bring it about.

16
Ed_Ward 16 points ago +19 / -3

This whole thing about him leaving the state is so overblown. Is he the governor, a state legislator, or someone who works on the power grid? No. He's a federal senator. While it is his concern what happens to Texas, its not his job to lead the response. Would it have been nice if he stayed and helped? Of course, but he has a different job.

3
p8riot 3 points ago +3 / -0

When most of your constituents are without power you need to be on the ground helping. Any citizen can organize food runs, etc. let alone a sitting Senator.

He's a coward for running away.

3
krzyzowiec 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah 100%. It would have been cool if he stayed and helped his neighbors, but it's not his responsibility whatsoever. He didn't fail in his duties by being out of state. And of course they are only asking about him. Is he the only politician who went out of state? Nah, he's just the one they want to feed to the outrage mob.

12
chambleepede 12 points ago +12 / -0

NEVER APOLOGIZE

0
p8riot 0 points ago +1 / -1

Am I missing the part where he apologized? Because I don't see an apology. I see a guy realizing he failed his constituents and trying to pin it on his children.

9
goldkeyboardwarrior 9 points ago +9 / -0

I hope he doesn't think for even a second the media would be asking the same questions about what Sheila Jackson Lee (who represents Houston) is doing right now since she has a (D) after her name.

7
VenusDe 7 points ago +7 / -0

I will spend as much time defending Cruz as he spent defending Trump (and us) after January 6th.

3

I see what you did there

7
KINGOJ007 7 points ago +7 / -0

Fuck ted cruz

6

He's a Uniparty cuck and always has been.

6
WindyCityBluez 6 points ago +6 / -0

Fuck lying Ted. He blamed trump for the riot that antifa planned and called everyone their a terrorist. Dead to me.

6
MAGACountryResident 6 points ago +6 / -0

Seriously I don’t understand why everyone feels the need to apologize and give into these lunatics fear tactics. The absolute best thing about Trump other than being the best president in our history he was unapologetic and didn’t give a fuck who whined and cried. That’s what a real leader does. We need more people like that.

6
The_End_Is_Now 6 points ago +6 / -0

Cruz deserves every bit of criticism that he is getting, first for showing his arrogance by taking a vacation during a state emergency and second, for apologizing for taking a vacation during a state emergency.

Ted Cruz!

That faggit called MAGA terrorists. He can suck ALL the dicks!

5
czargwar 5 points ago +5 / -0

Is he apologizing to the left? I don't think so. I think he's apologizing to the Texan people for bailing out during the storm.

5
1775Concord 5 points ago +5 / -0

Very poor judgement by Senator Cruz at a time when his STATE was suffering.

5
phandaal 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nancy Pelosi accused a hair salon of a setup when she got caught doing a blowout while shops were closed down. Apparently she has more balls than Ted Cruz.

5
BlaineBug 5 points ago +5 / -0

Then again when a representative of the state LEAVES THE STATE during an Emergency, of course that should receive bad press. He makes good money to do his job and even just to support Texans by coming out and surveying the area would have been better than to leave on Vacation.

Think about how your boss/manager/company owner would look if your facility was on fire and your boss was leaving on a trip without turning back? Same gig in a way.

You know how when there's an emergency at a plant more workers get called in and are expected to show up? Sure, you might say "but it's my day off!" but your management won't give a shit, either. I heard when the Whiting Standard Oil Refinery went up in flames in 1955, my grandfather may have been gone at work for a week straight or something like that.

5
justicein2020 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah don't give in. They need someone to hate without trump. Don't be it.

Tell em 'hey fuck you'

4
krzyzowiec 4 points ago +4 / -0

He is too into his own image. I always felt when I heard him speak like he was acting. I mean every interview or video I've ever seen him in, even when Alex Jones ran into him coming off an elevator or whatever. He just goes into "Constitutional Conservative" Ted Cruz -mode and says whatever he thinks you want to hear.

I think he just wants to be liked and respected, but that's why he will never accomplish what Trump did.

Now he's Flyin' Ted circling back with his tail between his legs.

4
FOUR_MORE_TERMS 4 points ago +5 / -1

Dude should've been at home suffering with the rest. Although we know his house wouldn't lose power. I won't blindly defend this clown. We all know we would've pointed it out if it was a Democrat.

And yeah, as a state senator, he should be out doing whatever he can. Delivering food or anything. Not in fucking Calvin. How about we get public servants? Shit, my ass ain't going on vacation to Cancun anytime soon. (Lol, autocorrect tried to change Cancun to Cincinatti. Sorry I'd rather work than go to fucking Ohioooo.)

4
Navypilot100 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lyin Ted. I’ll never forgive him for the lies he tried to spread about Trump.

Doesn't really seem like an apology to me. Just seems good governance to make sure you're on the ground in an emergency

3
MeatShield72 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wasn't much of an apology that is for sure.

But would he have stayed there if the media wasn't in his grill about it, odds are yes he would have.

He caved to pressure. Didn't apologize, just caved.

Yet the media never remembers during other crisis' when democrats were no where to be found...

2
anonymousdonor 2 points ago +2 / -0

Shit, it isn't even an apology, he blamed his kids. He blamed his wife in another statement. Who does that?

4
radome 4 points ago +4 / -0

Cruz is a spineless pussy

4
CornPop69_420 4 points ago +4 / -0

Look, Ted fucked up. If he was already gone it would be different. I'm smart enough to know that most of what he does can be done remotely but if he lost internet in Cancun he would be useless.

4
KrakenWakin4JoeBacon 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but to me it seems obvious Cruz should not have gone to Cancun, and so, therefore, there’s nothing wrong with him apologizing. He should be apologizing to his constituents, though—no one else. Seems fine to me that his wife and daughters fled TX for Cancun, but they did not Cruz to escort them there.

ted cruz went back to his role just like everybody else did in this play now that the non actor is gone

3
rush4life1980 3 points ago +4 / -1

Lying Ted really messed up, his state is in the largest emergency facing Texas in as long as I can remember, and he goes on a fucking vacation, you have the idiot democrats laughing all over him and the Texas government for this mess about the power grid. He should have been, making calls, organising donations, getting people help.

How many times does someone have to flip/flop and lie, he is a leach/suck-up who is just trying to vie for the 2024 spot.

“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.” - Lindsey Graham

3

3

Ted "Let Them Eat Snow" Cruz has to be screwing up on purpose. Surely he isn't that stupid.

2
joebud 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sorry but he is a cuck.

2
anotherthing 2 points ago +2 / -0

When they put that microphone in his face, the first thing he should have said is, "The President is the one that declares emergencies and generally goes to disaster areas. Why are you here instead of there asking him what he's doing?"

Senators can't do shit on things like this. It's all in the President's lap.

2
