If he isn't primaried, then I will vote for him in a heartbeat. All politicians are crooks and I expect them to lie, cheat and steal. I don't even expect them to do anything for ME - but I will vote for the devil himself if he commits to advancing the policies that will make the liberals miserable. Politics is a zero-sum game and the only thing that matters now is not even how much I get but how much the liberals lose. Until we finally have the long overdue civil war, I'm OK with ruining the lives of the other side of the aisle via policy and obstructionism.
That said, Ted Cruz is worse than a crook - he's a stupid crook that got caught. There was a million things he could have done instead of fucking off to Cancun to be comfortable. I'm pretty sure there are enough billionaires here in Texas who have self-sufficient or semi-self-sufficient compounds who would be more than happy to host him and treat him like royalty. What the FUCK was Ted thinking - that he could fly on a commercial airline and somehow slip under the radar? How did he think it would look other than "I'm a rat jumping off a sinking ship"?
