From what I can tell by reading online, most leftist wingnuts aren't having kids (can't for the life of me imagine why). That means liberals aren't producing new liberal voters. So the democrats gotta get their voters somewhere else. College indoctrination isn't cutting it--not with hot girls toting AR-15's around the campuses right after graduating.
Illegal immigrants are their supply of new voters. That's one of the many reasons Trump is such a huge threat to the democrats: Trump made a specific effort to choke off that supply of new voters.
From my observations, most don't make enough to provide their kid the standard of living they had growing up, or aren't willing to sacrifice the free time and money to have children, but then will totally indulge in some childish hobbies.
For voters, of course.
